Mainstay Meals
In the summer of 2023, I was talking with Jeff Spence, President of Mainstay, about how difficult it was to support a growing number of hungry students with only $500 a year for our school nutrition program. Jeff didn’t just listen—he stepped up. Through Mainstay, he provided funding that allowed us to take real action and better support our students with basic breakfasts, snacks, and lunches. With Mainstay’s support, and help from community grocery donations, my administrative partner and I created a plan to stretch what we had and build something sustainable. That’s how Mainstay Meals launched in September 2023.
Partnering with Saskatoon schools as a partner for nutrition programming. 
Babes For Boobs
Mainstay loves showing up for events that bring people together for a bigger purpose—and Babes for Boobs is exactly that. This women-led 12-hole golf tournament in Saskatoon raises funds for breast cancer awareness through fun on-course fundraising holes, a champagne brunch, caddy auction, games, and plenty of laughs along the way. We’re proud to volunteer, join in the fun, and support a cause that touches so many.
Make A Wish
At Mainstay, supporting Make-A-Wish is deeply personal—because every child deserves a moment of hope in the middle of something unimaginably hard. Research shows that being prescribed a wish can improve a sick child’s adherence to treatment, reduce emergency room visits, and create lasting health benefits. That’s why we’re proud to renew our support and help reach the 3,500+ kids still waiting for their life-changing wish.
Breast Cancer Walk/Run
At Mainstay, we’re proud to take part in breast cancer walks and runs because they’re more than just events—they’re a powerful way to raise awareness, honour those affected, and help fund research and support programs. We show up as a team, step by step, to stand with our community and help keep this cause moving forward.
MAINSTAY IN OUR SCHOOL
At Mainstay, we believe joy belongs in the classroom too. That’s why we were thrilled to purchase and provide hockey sticks for classes at Dillon School—putting smiles on faces and sticks in hands. Whether it’s learning the basics, burning off energy, or discovering a love for the game, these moments matter. It’s about more than equipment; it’s about confidence, teamwork, and giving kids the chance to play, laugh, and thrive—together.
We were just as excited to support Dillon School in another meaningful way—by purchasing new computers for students to learn, explore, and create. Watching curiosity spark when a screen lights up never gets old. These computers open doors to new skills, new ideas, and new confidence, giving students the tools they need to grow in a digital world. For us, it’s not just about technology—it’s about investing in potential, possibility, and a future full of opportunity.
There’s something incredibly powerful about knowing a child has a full belly and a full chance to learn. Through our school meal support, we’re proud to help provide nourishing breakfasts, lunches, and snacks that fuel growing minds and busy bodies. These meals aren’t just food—they’re comfort, care, and a quiet reminder to students that their community has their back. When kids are fed, they can focus, play, learn, and thrive—and that’s what makes this work so meaningful to us. 💛
